About Us

The premiere Pakistan School of Fashion Design (PSFD), established in 1995, has now been transformed into a larger organization and renamed as Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD). The Institution is a federal organization incorporated under Section 42 of Companies Ordinance 1984, sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan.

Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design now comprises of the following four new Faculties/Schools and Six Departments:

Department of Fashion Design

• Faculty/School of Fashion Marketing and Promotions

Department of Marketing and Merchandising

• Faculty/School of Textile Design

Department of Textile Design

• Faculty/School of Accessories and Products

• Department of Jewellery Design and Gemological Sciences
• Department of Furniture Design and Manufacture
• Department of Leather Accessories and Footwear

The high standards are set by a simple idea that forms the quintessential spirit of the Institute: PIFD focuses on developing the students' innovative, analytical and technical skills so that they are aware of the different possibilities and are capable of creating and promoting appropriate products for the global consumer of today. PIFD recognizes that the perfect mix of education, grooming, training and exposure is essential to developing well-rounded sensibilities and aesthetics. PIFD has 100% employment ratio.
