Ministry for Commerce, in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan decided to add value to the manufacturing of Pakistani Textiles (and thereby providing a competitive edge) by initiating the move to establish the Pakistan School of Fashion Design
An affiliation was established withL’Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne to draw out a comprehensive four year curriculum in fashion design |

Affiliation established with Mod’Spe Institute Superior Specialise de la Mode, Paris, France was to start a 4 year programme in Fashion Marketing & Merchandising |

Collaboration established with the University College of Boras, Sweden

Incorporated as a company under Section 42 of Companies Ordinance 1984, with the sponsorship of Ministry for Commerce, Government of Pakistan
Started new four-year BA (Hons) programmes: Textile Design, Accessories and Product Design, Gems and Jewellery, Leather Accessories and Footwear, Furniture Design and Manufacturing
