International Exposure

Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design is unrivalled in Pakistan when it comes to the international exposure it provides to its students. The students of programmes, currently offered at PIFD, go abroad on exchange programmes in the third year of their education.

Every year, the top fifteen students from Fashion Design are sent to La Chambre Syndicate de La Couture in Paris, France for training.

Since 2007, twelve students of the Fashion Marketing and Merchandising program and the whole batch in 2008 were sent to University of Boras, Sweden. The students spend an entire semester in Sweden on exchange programme.

For the new programmes, PIFD is currently in talk with the various universities around the world for exchanges and training programmes. PIFD is constantly forging bonds with various international Institutes such as; Fashion Institute of Technology, New York; Fashion Institute of Deisgn and Merchandise, LA; Gemological Institute of America, LA; National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi; Jewelry Insittute of Noida, India, and Polimoda Institute, Italy.

PIFD students have been blazing the trail by competing in and winning foreign design competitions over the years. These include: International Young Fashion Deisgn and Accessories competition Paris, FOCREA Belgium, Mukuhari Japan, Asian Young Fashion Design Competition Singapure, Wigan and leigh College New Dehlhi. Students are faculty also participate in Fairs and Exhibitions like Heim Textile Germany, Pret a Porter Paris, and Premier Vision Paris.
